EUDR FAQ
Thanks to the latest simplifications by the EU Commission, due diligence statements are now submitted once per year instead of per shipment or batch
Yes. EAS can act as your Authorised Representative and handle the filing of your EUDR due diligence statement, along with compliance monitoring and technical support.
The operator placing products on the EU market is responsible for filing.
However, they may appoint an Authorised Representative, such as EAS, to file on their behalf. The operator remains ultimately responsible for compliance.
The EUDR applies to cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya, and wood — and any products made using these materials. For example, books (wood-based), leather goods, furniture, and food products may fall under the scope.
Non-compliance can lead to:
Significant Fines
Product withdrawal or destruction
Public listing of your business as non-compliant
EAS helps you avoid these risks by ensuring full compliance.
